Haiti: WHO Health Emergency Appeal 2026
29 January 2026
| Donor alert
Overview
Escalating violence, institutional collapse and natural disasters have pushed Haiti’s health system to the brink. In 2026, 4.9 million people will require health assistance as insecurity, mass displacement and recurrent cholera transmission limit access to care. Many health facilities are no longer functional, particularly in Port-au-Prince. PAHO/WHO is supporting emergency and trauma care, sustaining disease surveillance and ensuring the delivery of essential medicines to protect lives amid one of the most severe crises in the Americas.
